Goals of the Program:

• To encourage Native parents to set goals towards a healthy and nurturing family lifestyle
   
• To prepare parents with skills and knowledge to assist with incorporating traditional practices into their parenting skill set
   
• To incorporate traditional Native values with Nurturing Parenting Program® curriculum. Process of Honest communication
   
• To help facilitators present a culturally specific curriculum developed by integrating contemporary concepts of parenting and successful historical approaches to working with Native American parents and their families
